uv అనేది ఒక Python manager. Python install చేయడానికి, manage చేయడానికి వాడతాం. Claude Code run చేయడానికి Python అవసరం. uv వాళ్ళు Python ని automatically install చేసి పెడతారు. మీరు manually Python download చేయక్కర్లేదు.

సాధారణ భాషలో చెప్పాలంటే: uv అంటే ఒక helper. మీరు “Python install చేయి” అంటే uv చేస్తుంది.

Git Clone అంటే ఏంటి – GitHub Repository ఎందుకు కావాలి

.env File అంటే ఏంటి – API Key అక్కడ ఎందుకు పెడతాం

.env file అంటే ఒక secret file. ఇందులో passwords, API keys దాచుకుంటాం. ఇది normal notepad file లానే ఉంటుంది కానీ public కి కనిపించదు. NVIDIA నుండి తీసుకున్న API key ని ఇక్కడ పెడతాం.

సాధారణ భాషలో: .env file అంటే మీ password notebook. అది private గా ఉంటుంది.

Local Server అంటే ఏంటి – Proxy ఎందుకు Run చేయాలి

Local server అంటే మీ own laptop లో run అయ్యే ఒక చిన్న program. ఇది Claude Code నుండి వచ్చే requests పట్టుకొని NVIDIA కి forward చేస్తుంది. Claude Code కి తెలియదు, అది Anthropic కి వెళ్తుందని నమ్ముతుంది. కానీ actually NVIDIA కి వెళ్తుంది.

ఇప్పుడు actual setup మొదలుపెడదాం. ప్రతి step simple గా explain చేస్తాను. Commands copy paste చేయండి. అంతే. Coding రాకపోయినా పర్వాలేదు.

Step 1 – Terminal ఓపెన్ చేసి uv Install చేయడం

Mac లో Terminal open చేయండి. Spotlight search లో “Terminal” అని type చేయండి. Enter నొక్కండి. Terminal ఒక black screen లా ఉంటుంది. అక్కడ మీరు commands type చేయవచ్చు.

ఇప్పుడు NVIDIA వాళ్ళ documentation లో ఒక link ఉంటుంది. అక్కడ macOS and Linux option select చేయండి. “Use curl to download and execute” అని ఒక command ఉంటుంది. దాన్ని copy చేసి terminal లో paste చేయండి. Enter నొక్కండి.

uv automatically download అవుతుంది, install అవుతుంది. ఒక్క నిమిషం పడుతుంది.

Step 2 – Claude Code Install చేయడం

uv install అయిన తర్వాత, Claude Code కూడా install చేసుకోవాలి. Documentation లో Claude Code install చేయడానికి ఒక curl command ఉంటుంది. దాన్ని copy చేసి terminal లో paste చేయండి.

Claude Code install అయిపోతుంది. ఇది already install అయి ఉంటే మళ్ళీ install చేయక్కర్లేదు.

Step 3 – Python Install చేయడం

ఇప్పుడు Python install చేయాలి. Terminal లో ఈ command run చేయండి:

uv python install 3.14

ఇది Python 3.14 version install చేస్తుంది. uv automatically handle చేస్తుంది. మీరు ఏమీ చేయక్కర్లేదు.

Step 4 – Desktop లో కొత్త Folder Create చేయడం

ఇప్పుడు ఒక new folder create చేద్దాం. ఇక్కడ మన proxy code ఉంటుంది. Terminal లో ఈ commands run చేయండి:

ఇది Desktop మీద “nvidia-ai” అనే folder create చేసి దాన్లోకి వెళ్తుంది.

Folder clone అయిన తర్వాత VS Code open చేద్దాం. Terminal లో ఈ command run చేయండి:

code .

ఇది automatically VS Code open చేసి మన folder show చేస్తుంది. అక్కడ .env file ఉంటుంది. దాన్ని click చేయండి.

.env file open అయిన తర్వాత ఇక్కడ రెండు API keys అడుగుతుంది:

• NVIDIA API key
• DeepSeek API key (optional)

ఇది చాలా important step. NVIDIA API key లేకుండా ఈ setup పని చేయదు. కానీ ఇది free. మీ email మరియు mobile number verify చేస్తే చాలు.

NVIDIA Build Platform లో Account ఎలా Create చేసుకోవాలి

build.nvidia.com కి వెళ్ళండి. ఇక్కడ Sign Up చేసుకోండి. మీ email address enter చేయండి. Password set చేసుకోండి. Normal registration లానే ఉంటుంది.

Registration చేసిన తర్వాత వాళ్ళు మీకు ఒక message చూపిస్తారు: “Please verify your account to get API access.” ఇది mandatory. Verify చేయకపోతే API key generate చేయలేరు.

/status command type చేయండి. ఇక్కడ Anthropic base URL అనేది localhost show అవుతుంది. అంటే Claude Code successfully proxy కి connect అయిందని అర్థం.

రెండు Terminals Side by Side ఎందుకు Open చేయాలి

• Left terminal: Server run అవుతూ ఉంటుంది (close చేయకండి)
